TechMedix Managed Security Suite (Firewall with Integrated Services):

1. Best in Class Firewall from Juniper Networks ‐ Mitigates Internet based threats and protects the credit card environment. Both incoming and outgoing data is examined and managed before reaching its final destination.
2. IP DataBlocker – Stops malware or individuals with access to the network from sending data (including compromised card data) to prohibited Internet locations from within the customer environment.
3. Rogue Device Manager – Detection and reaction in the event that an unauthorized computer system is physically added to a customer network. This will inform management of a potential issue by alerting them to the possibility that someone added an unauthorized network device to their environment. Rogue Devices or processes (malware or hacker tricks) are rendered impotent by eliminating their ability to communicate.
4. Real Time Monitoring – 24 X 7 X 365 monitoring of traffic and error logs associated with communications and access. This allows the merchant to get a snapshot of the health of his network and to ask questions about potential issues. Our logging facility meets the PCI‐DSS log requirements for remote access, local access and key operating system file monitoring and logging. In fact, with our patent pending technology, we can go beyond the PCI‐DSS standard to limit access to any file to specific applications preventing modification by malware.
5. Secure Remote Access Gateway – Remote portal that allows secure access to systems protected by the TechMedix Managed Security Suite. For PCI‐DSS, it includes two factors of authentication.
6. Forced Configuration Manager – Automated access controller that validates the configuration of a remote system before allowing remote access. As an example, PCI requires that any system accessing the merchant’s network remotely have up‐to‐date antivirus software active. We verify the remote system does have the up‐to‐date antivirus software before allowing access.
7. Automatic Broadband Failover – Detects when the primary Internet connection fails and responds by initiating a redundant Internet connection. The redundant interface can be a second high speed Internet feed (cable modem) provided by the franchise owner or a dial‐up modem connection provided as part of the managed service from TechMedix ensuring a constant connection for credit card authorization.

Hot Spot Plus (Managed Wireless with Integrated Firewall):

1. Managed Wireless Environment – Provides wireless hotspot for patrons to use without jeopardizing the cardholder environment, clearly separating public vs. private network access.
2. Family Friendly Internet Browsing – Content engine associated with the wireless environment so that prohibited websites are inaccessible from within the franchise owner’s location. TechMedix subscribes to an IP filtering service that is continually updated as new potentially offensive sites come on line. As a result there is a small “pass through” fee for this service.

Trust Vault Certificate (Mitigates the Cost Associated with a Breach)

1. $50,000.00 Guarantee Against Data Breach and Credit Card Theft – TechMedix offers protection against future fines and assessments in the event of a breach. While this does not improve security by itself, it gives the merchant the assurance that if our system is penetrated the TrustVault Certificate will help him with paying direct breach related expenses. As indicated previously, the Trust Vault™ Certificate is also provided to Level A and B merchants.
